Akshay Kumar’s life before Bollywood:
Akshay Kumar was a professional martial arts practitioner before becoming an artist. He has always been a sports enthusiast since Akshay was an early child. At a very early age in his life he started studying and practicing boxing. When he was in high, he began studying Karate. The Khiladi is an Army brat for those who don’t know. No wonder all this passion for stunts and battles makes him fantasize.
Owing to his lack of confidence, Akshay enrolled in college to complete his higher education but dropped out. He then traveled to Thailand, to study martial arts in Bangkok. He stayed there, practicing Thai Boxing for five years. The Rustom actor got a black belt in Taekwondo when they were in India. Akshay Kumar worked as a chef during his time in Bangkok, too. Kumar went to work in a travel agency in Kolkata after Thailand, in a hotel in Dhaka and Delhi where he sold Kundan jewellery. On his return to Mumbai, he started martial arts teaching. Despite all these achievements Akshay always had a vision of being an artist.
